Emmy Award winning news anchor turned celebrity chef Julian Phillips is taking over Sherwood House Vineyards in Jamesport this weekend for the vineyard’s first Wine & Wings event.
Mr. Phillips will be serving up his signature “Sound Bites” — blackened chicken wings along with four dipping sauces: pesto, Cajun remoulade, garlic and spicy marinara.
If that isn’t enough, he will also be making three types of southern smoked mac-n-cheese. You choose from lobster, shrimp or his original recipe.
And of course you wash it all down with Sherwood House’s award-winning wines.
Perhaps best known nationally as co-host of the weekend edition of Fox & Friends, Mr. Phillips is also a famed motivational speaker and chef with more than 30 years of culinary experience. In 2005, he even won a celebrity cooking competition, beating out William Shatner and Chef Emeril Lagasse.
The wings will be sold cash only. Tasting flights are cash or credit.
The event is from noon to 6 p.m. at Sherwood House Vineyards, located at 1291 Main Road in Jamesport.
