Brides-to-be interested in saving money while contributing to a good cause are invited to attend “Brides Against Breast Cancer’s Nationwide Tour of Gowns,” a wedding gown sale taking place Friday and Saturday at Atlantis Banquets & Events in downtown Riverhead.
The two-day event begins with a “VIP Unveiling of the Gowns Reception” on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
For a $20 tax-deductible donation, guests will enjoy light refreshments, entertainment, a “pink drink” of the night, and giveaways. Attendees will also get a sneak peek of the wedding gowns available for purchase.
At Saturday’s dress sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests who pay a $7 admission ticket will be able to browse hundreds of new and gently-used designer and couture gowns, priced at up to 85 percent off, with most dresses ranging in price from $99 to $3,900 and available in all styles in sizes 4 through 18.
The Nationwide Tour of Gowns at Atlantis Banquets & Events is one of more than 120 sales Brides Against Breast Cancer hosts each year, according to a press release. More than 50,000 gowns have been donated to the dress sale since the organization got its start 15 years ago. This year, Brides Against Breast Cancer will give $2 million dollars to help people impacted by cancer.
To register for the event, visit Brides Against Breast Cancer’s website. Atlantis Banquets & Events is located at 431 East Main Street in Riverhead and is part of Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition.
