Tomato ice cream anyone?
You’ll have a chance to try it out during Garden of Eve Organic Farm & Market’s Tomato Festival this weekend August 10 & 11. The two-day event is a celebration of harvest season.
Participants can help judge the taste of 20 varieties of heirloom and traditional tomatoes, attend workshops to learn how to grown their own and find out how to put it to good use with yummy recipes.
There will be live music both days and plenty for the kids to enjoy.
The event features games, pumpkin picking, pony rides, hayrides and animals to see and feed.
Tomato Fest is scheduled for August 10 & 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
Garden of Eve Organic Farm & Market is located at 4558 Sound Avenue in Riverhead.
