Saturday, Aug. 11, 7 p.m.: Perseid meteor shower presentation and observation at Custer Observatory, 1115 Main Bayview Rd., Southold. Bob Farrell will speak about hero and constellation Perseus and telescopes will be open to view the night sky before the meteor shower. Gather to watch the meteor shower on the south lawn.
