Bust out your kilts and tune your bagpipes, St. Patrick’s Day is nigh!

This feast was originally created to honor Saint Patrick, a priest credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. Occurring during Lent, alcohol and food restrictions were happily lifted in observance of the day. (more…)

For Moustache Brewery Co. owners, husband-and-wife team Lauri and Matt Spitz, raising money for Multiple Sclerosis is a cause that hits close to home.

That’s because Mr. Spitz was diagnosed with the illness, a central nervous system disease that disrupts the flow of information from the brain, two years ago — just as the couple was getting the fledgling business off the ground.

On Thursday, Jan. 14, they hosted “Dexterity Issues: A Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser” at the Riverhead brewery and raised $2,170 for MS research.

Jaws 19 - Film

Today, Wednesday, October 21 is “Back to the Future” day.

That means it is the official day and year that Marty McFly and Doc Brown went into the future in the second film of the popular franchise.

To celebrate the event, Moustache Brewing Company in Riverhead will host “Marty McFly Day” on October 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with costumes, food trucks, a new beer and a special surprise guest (more on that later). (more…)
