For Dan McCallister, it all started with birdhouses. The retired Southampton Town police officer picked up the hobby more than a decade ago. He started small and his East Quogue garage became a makeshift workshop, where he gave new life to salvaged scrap wood.  (more…)

The owners of Laurel’s In the Attic Too have salvaged so many antiques and reclaimed materials over the years that they’re opening a second location in Jamesport this weekend.

Situated in a 1,400-square-foot red barn behind Duffy’s Deli on Main Road, In the Attic Too’s second location will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11. The barn is the former longtime home of Gloria’s Antiques.  (more…)
