HGTV fans may have recognized a few locations on the most recent episode of Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation.
It’s always a struggle to see all the Oscar nominated films each year without leaving the North Fork. (Unless of course you have friends in SAG or the Academy who are willing to share their screeners. Tsk, tsk.)
It’s fun to vote — whether for president or for the Oscar.
But this year, I was disappointed to see that most of the leading contenders were about greed, crooked swindlers, “dirty tricks,” deception and brutal aggression. (more…)
This weekend’s lineup at Mattituck Cinemas features two Academy Awards best picture nominees: “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “American Hustle.”
“I, Frankenstein” is the only new film to join the lineup since last weekend.
On Tuesday, January 7 at 7 p.m., Movies at the Library will begin its 10th year with the age-appropriate comedy “10.” Directed by Blake Edwards from his own script, it pre-dates his “Panther” movies but shares some of their zaniness and sheer idiocy. (more…)

The Coen Brother’s latest flick, “Inside Llewyn Davis,” which filmed several scenes at two locations in Riverhead last year, will go into wide release this Friday Dec. 20. (more…)
