World acclaimed pianist, Magdalena Baczewska, who has
mesmerized audiences throughout America, Europe and Asia, will perform
in-concert at the Jamesport Meeting House on Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.,
marking her fourth appearance at this historic venue. Her May 4th
performance will be dedicated to the French composer, conductor and teacher,
Nadia Boulanger, and will feature compositions by Boulanger’s favorite
composer, J.S. Bach; her famous students Philip Glass and Aaron Copland; and
works by Boulanger herself and by her sister, Lili. The concert will conclude with
Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin, a composer whom Boulanger refused to take
on as a student. The performance will be followed by a reception with the

Meeting House, was erected in 1731 and is the oldest public structure on the
East End of Long Island. The Jamesport Meeting House is prized for its superb
acoustics as well as its historical significance.
