About

THE MANY SHADES OF GREY

Instructor: Marlene Bezich

The strength and beauty of black and white drawings are the subtle use of values. This class will help you fall in love with the intricacies of value manipulation.

You will experience the joy of rendering your subject using different colored papers, pastels, pencils, and charcoals, to create drama and emotion. The key to understanding color is to know the true power of value and how to identify and render its many transitions.

Instructor will have available photographs and still life, or student may bring a photo of their own.  The goal is to have each student leave the class with a better understanding and appreciation for creating values in black & white.

Cost: $ 160 EEA members / $ 192 non-members
