About
Alex Ferrone Gallery in Cutchogue opens its 14th art season with a solo exhibition featuring artist Roy Nicholson.
Rooted in his second year-long study of creating one painting each week, Tending Time moves fluidly between representation and abstraction, and explores the fleeting radiance of artist Roy Nicholson’s Sag Harbor garden through observations of light, weather, plant growth, and transformation.
Tending Time invites a slower, contemplative pace, and much like strolling through the artist’s garden, encourages viewers to linger on the colors and textures while reflecting on the passage of seasons and the beauty found in continual change.
