Songs of the Sag Harbor Whalemen

Researched and Performed by Stephen Sanfilippo

The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum is proud to present a concert by Stephen Sanfilippo, one of America’s leading performers of historic songs of the sea, and recognized as the leading authority on the songs and poems of the men who whaled out of Long Island ports during the mid-19th century.

Come listen as history comes alive! Hear the very songs played and sung on board Sag Harbor whaling ships as they sailed the seven seas in search of “greasy luck!” To be performed outside by our world famous whaling boat, its about as close to going on a whaling voyage you can get!

The outdoor concert is free; chairs will be provided

(Museum admission not included)
