Greenport’s Village Cinema is open during the winter once again! The Winter Film Series, curated by Manhattan Film Institute, runs every Saturday from January 11 through May 9 and showcases award-winning movies and classic cinema for kids and adults.
This week, the acclaimed film for adults is the 1959 film Some Like It Hot. Directed by Billy Wilder, this classic film starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis masterfully delivers both timeless humor and wit that has propelled it to the top of many lists of the greatest comedies ever made. This film is a definite must see!
The show begins at 7:00. This showtime also includes a Student Short Film and a Post-Film discussion!
All of the screenings will be presented free of charge this winter, though donations are requested.
