Atlantic Marine Conservation Society scientists will guide participants on an interactive, educational walk on the beach. We will discuss the seasonal occurrence of “cold-stunning,” or hypothermia, in sea turtles, and what the community can do to help as we work to protect these threatened and endangered species. We will walk the beach to learn how to monitor the beaches for hypothermic sea turtles, and remove harmful marine debris along the way.
