About
Our linocut workshop is an invitation to learn about this unique printmaking method and its possibilities. Utilizing traditional carving techniques, we will be working with linoleum to put a contemporary twist on the classic medium of printmaking.
We will use line, shape, pattern, and repetition to begin to understand layering in relief. Using water-based inks we will learn about viscosity and develop layers to create a series of one-of-a-kind prints on various substrates such as cotton rag, rice paper, or even newspaper and fabric.
This 2-day workshop is suitable for artists with any degree of experience with printmaking. All materials will be provided.
