Riverhead – On June 5 & 6, 2021, North Fork Event Company, Inc. will again promote the farm to table movement at the 2nd Annual North Meets South – Farms, Food, & Drink Festival.
The event, North Meets South, brings the communities of the North and South Forks of Long Island, NY together for a weekend promoting the farm-to-table movement. Purchase and sample provisions from local farms and food from restaurants all over the East End, talk to classically trained chefs, meet food truck owners, purchase drinks from your favorite breweries, vineyards, and cider houses. This family-friendly Festival will also feature several children, teen, and adult activities; such as, inflatable houses, games, and slides, petting zoo provided by Suffolk County Farms – Cornell Cooperative Extension, pony rides, and live interactive entertainment for children and adults!
Come experience all the East End of Long Island has to offer from 10am-6pm both days in Downtown Riverhead on the East End Art Council’s green and along the Riverfront. North Meets South is a one stop-shop to indulge in everything good the North and South Forks have to offer. The Festival is set-up to promote and assist in networking the East End Farms, Farmers Markets, and Small Businesses of Long Island to the consumer.
North Meets South affords the local community and Long Island families a place to meet and mingle with farmers, craft artisans, food trucks, restaurants, breweries, vineyards, cider houses, MLM markets, artists, children’s entertainers, and many other categories of business from all over Long Island. Downtown Riverhead – where the farm meets the table – is the place to celebrate and promote local-to-local Long Island business, encourage networking, promote economic development, and Downtown Revitalization.
North Fork Event Company unites various businesses at North Meets South so you can browse, meet the producers, smell, taste, and purchase some of the finest food and drink available from all over the East End, giving visitors the opportunity to purchase or sample products that are unique or familiar.
Festival entertainment includes local bands, family-fun activities, and community art from the East End. Experience East End Arts’ established artists exhibition, DETOUR that will be open for viewing during Festival hours. North Meets South — Farms, Food, and Drink Festival is open to the public and free of admission. Pre-sale VIP packages will be available.
Additional programming announcements will include the live band line-up, activities, vendors, and sponsors.
