North Fork Women hosts its annual Labor Day Benefit, the Lavender Soiree, honoring the legacy of the Lavender Menace who fought for lesbian visibility and rights during the women’s rights movement and celebrating the power of sapphic women and community. Allies are welcome! Evening includes passed appetizers, catered buffet, music, and fundraising to provide medical and emergency grants to lesbians and queer women facing financial barriers, disability, illness, crisis, or aging and in need of assistance for medical life alerts or underinsurance.
