What do you do with 16 enormous, 125-year-old church pews that
have outlived their usefulness? Ask artists. “Resurrect them,” they say.
Thirteen artists will refashion the pews into works of art, with
an auction Saturday, April 13. At CAST, Treiber Hall, 53930 Main Road,
Southold. Pews will be viewable
4/8 9, 12-4PM, and 4/10 and 12, 5-7 PM.
Barry Bergdoll, Professor of
Art History at Columbia University, will serve as auctioneer. Proceeds will
benefit CAST, North Fork Contemporary, and the artists.
