The Ward Melville Heritage Organization (WMHO) will host the New Beginnings Virtual Party over Zoom to benefit the restoration and maintenance of T. Bayles Minuse Mill Pond Park in Stony Brook Village on November 12th at 6:30pm. Performances, an interactive history challenge with prizes, and the chance to win extraordinary live auction items will keep guests entertained throughout the evening.
The virtual event will be hosted by Emmy-winning television host of PBS’s Born to Explore, Richard Wiese, he will be followed by award-winning reporter and News 12 host, Elisa DiStefano, Brian Kilmeade, host of Fox Nations Celebrating America and five-time New York Times bestselling author, including George Washington’s Secret Six will host the evening’s interactive history challenge, “A History Mystery”.
The evening will feature performances by Long Island talents Tom Manuel, founder and President of the Jazz Loft in Stony Brook Village, and the Equity Brass Band, America’s Got Talent finalist, Sal “the Voice” Valentinetti, and comedian Rich Walker.
Tickets for the New Beginnings Virtual Party are $125 per person, and the first 50 ticket holders will receive a luxury gift bag with wine, provisions, over $500 in gift certificates and more. Patrons who register after the first 50 will automatically be entered into the exclusive “12 Different Experiences at 12 Different
Restaurants” raffle prize.
Between October 19th and November 16th, the New
Beginnings Online Auction will take place and will feature items starting at $50 to items that have a priceless value. Included in the auction are a six-hour, private four-person fishing charter, dinner for four at Duryea’s Orient Point, rare liquor, pizza every month for a year, an exclusive champagne toast and drinks for six at the Explorer’s Club with President Richard Wiese, and a variety of other items and experiences. The New Beginnings Online Auction is as easy as EBay. There is FREE registration to bid on the auction items. You will be notified if someone outbids you and you can bid again and again. The successful bidder’s card will not be charged until the last day of the auction – at midnight on November 16th.
