Greenport’s Village Cinema is open during the winter once again! The Winter Film Series, curated by Manhattan Film Institute, runs every Saturday from January 11 through May 9 and showcases award-winning movies and classic cinema for kids and adults.
This week, the acclaimed film for children is the 2016 animated film Moana. This Disney film about a young girl setting off on a journey to save her people is both beautifully animated and wonderfully empowering, with both its characters and its story inspiring awe. Featuring music by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, this film is definitely a must see for all ages!
The show begins at 6:30.
All of the screenings will be presented free of charge this winter, though donations are requested.
