About
Meet us at the beautiful Sound View to learn about the amazing marine wildlife we share our island with.
Atlantic Marine Conservation Society (AMSEAS) biologists will introduce participants to the various marine animals we see here in New York waters. In New York alone we commonly see up to 12 different cetacean species, four species of seals, and four different types of sea turtles! We will discuss the behavior of these creatures, their individual diets, and the natural and human induced threats these species face. By the end of the program participants will be able to take the concepts learned and apply them to directly to their environment. We hope to inspire all participants to promote marine conservation through action!
