The
Greater Jamesport Civic Association will host its annual commemoration to
America’s independence on Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. The event is the only
official Independence Day commemoration in the Town of Riverhead. The public is
invited to attend the event which will include inspirational speakers, area
elected officials, patriotic music, and VFW and NJROTC color guards. The event
will be held by the Honor Garden at the corner of South Jamesport Ave. and Main
Rd. in Jamesport. Admission is free. The Jamesport Fire Department will provide
a tent and chairs. The event will be held rain or shine.
