“A circular economy thrives on zero waste,” said Mark Haubner, steering committee member of Drawdown East End. “It is based on three principles — design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use, and regenerate natural systems. The fashion industry is moving toward a circular model, where clothing is designed from recycled or all-natural materials, everything is used, repaired, recycled, nothing ends up overloading and polluting landfills.”
