To celebrate Floyd Memorial Library’s current exhibition, Playbill Throughout the Years, we’re throwing a showtunes reception on Friday, January 23 from 5–7 pm. Hosted by Huck Hirsch of North Fork Community Theatre, the evening will feature pianist Jim Lowe and several vocalists. While they will perform songs from Broadway musicals, we’re channeling NYC’s iconic piano-bar Marie’s Crisis, so everyone is welcome to come sing along!
We’re also thrilled to be joined by members of Greenport High School’s Drama Club. They will give a sneak preview of numbers from their upcoming musical, Freaky Friday. If you’d like to catch this, they’ll be performing shortly after the reception starts at 5 pm.
