Regiment Revolutionary War Re-enactment
Saturday, August 23, 2025, 10 am – 4 pm
Poquatuck Park – Village Lane, Orient
The 3rd NY Regiment recreates events that happened during
the War of American Independence, specifically 1775 through 1783. The Regiment
reproduces the daily routine of Revolutionary War soldiers, wives, families and
camp followers. They dress in period clothing and drill with reproduction
firelocks just as in 1775.
Activities will include: Meet & Greet the Public; Camp
Activities; Drill; 18th Century Cooking; Canon Demonstration; Tactical Weapons
Demonstration; People of the 18th Century; Nooning; Camp Breakdown.
Event Parking will be available at the Methodist Church (1395
Village Ln – enter on Orchard St).
