If you’re the jealous type, the kind of person who lets other people’s really cool stuff get you down, don’t click through this post.
Quite simply, these are satellite images of great pools that your neighbors have.
We found them on Google Earth.
Chances are none of these pools belong to you.
BAITING HOLLOW
Sorry pool on the right; you’re just a poor man’s version of the pool on the left.
BAITING HOLLOW
What can be better than a stone path leading to a diving board? (The pool on the left.)
And if you’re too scared to jump, there are steps leading right into the deep end!
AQUEBOGUE
We found this gem nestled in an ornamental plant and shrub nursery south of Main Road.
There’s probably nothing like sitting in a jacuzzi with hummingbirds fluttering around your head.
AQUEBOGUE
This is one of only two pools we spotted on the North Fork that’s completely surrounded by hedgerows. Oh, the things you might get away with in there.
AQUEBOGUE
Many North Fork pools are on the bay or Long Island Sound, as you will later see. But this pool has farm views.
And look at those shrubs. What a killer yard for a party.
LAUREL
Spill from the jacuzzi, into the pool and then into the bay. Then do it again.
Can’t swim? There’s sure to be a flatscreen in the pool house.
MATTITUCK
There appears to be three different pool-like structures here. A pool, jacuzzi and maybe a separate baby pool. The poor neighbor has no pool at all.
MATTITUCK
There aren’t as many kidney-shaped pools on the North Fork as you might think. The sharpness of this Google Earth photo makes this one especially inviting.
EAST MARION
Mr. Neighbor, tear down this wall of vegetation.
Seriously, that’s all it would take to turn these two backyards into a Four Seasons-style resort. There’s even a third pool that could get in on the action.
ORIENT
The world is this homeowner’s oyster.
Try to make friends with these people. Then, after several months or years of earning their trust, convince them to host a northforker pool party.
