Sparkling Pointe (39750 County Road 48, Southold, 631-765-0200) is pulling back the curtain on the winemaking process.  Coming soon, the brand that hosts loads of tours, events and workshops showcasing their wine will launch a new kind of experience.

Sparkling Pointe will be the site of self-guided winery tours designed to take 30 minutes on foot to complete, with six to seven marked stops throughout the vineyard highlighting grape varieties grown on the property and the vineyard’s sustainable growing practices.

“It gives people insight into a lot of things that they don’t get to see when they’re here, depending on the time of year that they come,” says Evan Ducz, brand sales manager of Sparkling Pointe.

From January to April the brand hosted a Wine Master Class Series ending with a vineyard tour, which proved to be a hit. They now host an Unraveling Tour showing the facility and tasting room, but they wanted to expand their vineyard-specific offerings.

By combining videos of their production methods narrated by winemaker Andrew Rockwell and a walking tour inspired by West Coast wineries’ tours, Sparkling Pointe created a unique experience accessible through a QR code and free to visitors.

Great for before or after a tasting to learn more about what you’re sipping on, the tour will be available soon with the launch to be announced through Sparkling Pointe’s Instagram.

If you’d rather have a seat and sip, though, Sparkling Pointe’s Fizz & Fry, Lobster Roll Lunches or an upcoming Seafood Boil should give you your fix.

Mondays through Labor Day Weekend from 4:30 to 7 p.m., the winery is collaborating with Balo’s Food for the second year in a row, serving Sparkling Pointe méthode Champenoise wines with popcorn chicken, fried shrimp baskets, seafood stuffies, corn fritters, fries and weekly specials.

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. taste a three-sparkling wine-flight paired with a lobster roll, North Fork potato chips and a sweet dessert.

And on one special Saturday — August 15 — Marlow East, a restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, will host a popup at Sparkling Pointe, serving a seafood boil paired with Sparkling Pointe Brut, Cuvée Carnaval Rosé and Cuvée Carnaval Blancs alongside small bites, blue crab, jumbo shrimp, clams, andouille sausage and corn.
