The first of three concerts this weekend kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5; the Chorale performs on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Southold First Presbyterian Church and on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Orient Congregational Church. This event replaces Shellabration this year, with over a dozen local oyster farmers shucking their wares on 12/6 and 12/7 from noon-6 p.m. at the SPAT Oyster Hall; various restaurants and retailers will participate with specials and sales (tickets not required). Downtown Riverhead lights up from 3-8 p.m. with photos with Santa, hot chocolate, movie screenings, a community bonfire and a Merry Market of vendors; parade of lights at 4:30 p.m. and tree lighting at 5:15 p.m. Free; for details, look here.
