This outpost across the street from Harbes Family Farm is known for their handmade wreaths, the frames of which are made with their own blackberry canes. They offer stunning red chili pepper covered wreaths as well as classic fragrant pine wreaths.
Cifarelli’s Nursery, 3405 Ackerly Pond Lane, Southold, 631-765-8654
Cifarelli’s has Christmas trees along with wreaths, roping, amaryllis, paperwhites, Thanksgiving Cactus (often sold as Christmas Cactus) and poinsettias. You’ll also find plenty of ornaments, Christmas decor, and gift items, like unique plants, reclaimed/vintage pieces, pottery, trees and bushes, and custom-made metal pieces.

A family-owned tree farm with 15 acres of cut your own Christmas trees, Zuhoski Farms has a gift shop and wreath barn where you can warm up with some hot chocolate and visit with Santa if you’re lucky. They sell kissing balls, wreaths, roping, centerpieces and live Christmas trees in a basket. Zuhoski’s efficient staff will help you cut your own, too — they have Douglas Firs, Blue Spruces and Fraser Firs available (this year, in order to clear the field for replanting, all Douglas Firs are $100).
Clarke’s Garden & Home, 416 Main St., Greenport, 631-477-6770
Clarke’s stocks wreaths, fresh and faux, as well as garlands, boughs, and berries. Their Christmas trees are premium grade cut Frasier Firs, and they offer small potted trees as well. Clarke’s has a full range of outdoor plants for holiday containers, including small boxwoods, miniature evergreens, cryptomeria, Alberta spruce, and holly plants for window boxes or for pots at an entrance. Or spruce up your indoors with Christmas cactus; paperwhites and amaryllis, both blooming and bulbs; cyclamen; and locally grown specialty poinsettias. They have selected ornaments and indoor and outdoor lights, too.
Shamrock Christmas Tree Farm, 20685 Main Road, Mattituck, 631-298-4619
Shamrock carries a full line of holiday decorations: wreaths, swags, arches, wall trees and kissing balls, all made on site. And Christmas trees — this year Shamrock will have Douglas Fir field trees and precut Fraser Firs available. The farm has a gift shop and snack shed, as well as fire pits and the popular train ride, which takes visitors around the perimeter of the property. Christmas caroling, wine tastings and visits from Santa happen regularly during the season.
North Fork Flower Farm, 48455 Middle Road, Southold, 631-769-9678
While the North Fork Flower Farm only has fresh flowers for sale until Thanksgiving, they have a large assortment of dried flower decorations, made from flowers, herbs and grasses they grow and dry on the second story of their barn. Get gorgeous dried flower wreaths and ornaments here, as well as greenery decorated with dried flowers. Premade or custom centerpieces are also available.

The cut-your-own trees here are mostly Douglas firs, with some blue spruce and Frasier firs also available. In the Christmas shop you’ll find artificial and real garlands, fresh white pine roping and a selection of wreaths. The shop has ornaments, tree skirts, and stocking stuffers; centerpieces can be bought premade or made to order. Check out family-friendly activities like skating, pony or hayrides, and fire pits where marshmallow roasting is encouraged.
