When Jacqui and Greg Goodale opened their Terra Vite Winery & Vineyard (250 Manor Lane, Jamesport, 631-722-3416) tasting room in 2021, their mission was to bring a little slice of Italy to the North Fork. From their rustic, Old World-style sipping spot to their work with Italian grapes in their newly planted five-acre vineyard, they have stayed true to honoring their Etruscan roots. Last spring, the Goodales expanded on that vision with the addition of Enoteca di Terra Vite, a cozy boutique across from the tasting room that offers a dreamy dose of la bella vita.
The enoteca, which translates to “wine shop” in Italian, isn’t just a place to pick up some vino, though you’ll find all of Terra Vite’s own bottles for purchase. The shop is home to Jacqui’s carefully curated selection of Italian-made and Italian-inspired products, ranging from kitchenware and gourmet foods to jewelry, self-care items and even apparel, much of which is influenced by southern regions like Sicily and Calabria.
The space, designed by the creative minds over at Lumber + Salt in Jamesport, captures the same homey, vintage feel as the tasting room. Plus, if you’re lucky, you might also cross paths with Rigatoni — Jacqui’s sweet French bulldog.
