The annual golf tournament raises money for the ELIH Foundation, the fundraising arm of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital. ‘A DECK OF FERRY TALES’

Written and directed annually by Shelter Islander and musician Lisa Shaw, this annual original play not only entertains, but presents different aspects of the island’s history with “standing-O” aplomb. 32ND ANNUAL LOBSTERFEST

The 32nd annual Lobsterfest supports the Greenport and Southold Rotary Clubs. For $60 ($70 if you pay at the door at your own risk — this event always sells out!), you get lobster or steak, corn on the cob, with beer and wine available for purchase. An annual paddle race hosted by the Long Island Aquarium and New York Marine Rescue Center, this event benefits the endan- gered sea turtles in local waters. Harbes’ fresh peaches are in full bloom for this sweet festival. There’s a peach-eating contest on Saturday and Sunday, and live music in the courtyard.
