Meet Laura Klahre. She’s the owner of Blossom Meadow Farm in Cutchogue and the maker behind a new form of abstract art on the North Fork.

Over the summer, Klahre was weeding her red raspberries when she stumbled upon a few snails in the patch and came up with the idea to make snail art. Using non-toxic watercolors, she paints Rotund Disc Snails and allows them to roam on canvasses, creating vibrant and unique patterns.

Her framed snail art and “Snailmail” notecards are sold in-store at Coffee Pot Cellar’s tasting room in Cutchogue and online at blossommeadowfarm.com
