Northforker is seeking a passionate, curious reporter to create content for our daily website, weekly podcasts, social media channels and our award-winning monthly magazine. Our team covers food, beer and wine, home and garden, farming, art and artisans, retail and shopping and real estate on the North Fork of Long Island.
You will: Pitch stories weekly about the North Fork’s food, wine, lifestyle, and design scenes, cover events, research and write posts for northforker.com, appear on our podcast, take photos and video to accompany those stories and cultivate sources within the community.
You have: A bachelor’s degree in journalism or English Literature; deft writing, photography, and video skills; a strong work ethic; an interest in food, wine, and lifestyle; and a willingness to learn. Candidates with some experience covering lifestyle topics are preferred though we will consider the right first-time hire, news reporters, and others with the right skills for the job.
