Spring Long Island Restaurant Week kicks off today in an event that will continue for eight days.

More than 100 restaurants across Suffolk and Nassau counties will participate, including seven on the North Fork.

Three-course prix-fixe meals are once again being offered at three price points: $25, $35 and $42 with a $20 two-course lunch at some locations.

Here’s where you can participate here on the North Fork while Restaurant Week continues through Sunday, May 1.

Legends, New Suffolk ($42)

Legends in New Suffolk

Legends is a regular for Long Island Restaurant Week and it’s also a top choice among the participating North Fork restaurants. Start your meal off with Portugese clams and sausage before moving on to the roasted swordfish with roasted tomatoes and chorizo risotto. Finish up with a walnut roll. Fifteen percent off wine bottles too!

Cooperage Inn, Baiting Hollow ($35)

The Cooperage Inn is another Restaurant Week mainstay offering up a diverse menu of options. We like the overstuffed baked clams, chicken pot pie and capuccino mousse chocolate cake.

Farm Country Kitchen, Riverhead ($35)

Farm Country Kitchen, easily one of the best restaurants on the North Fork with an underrated view of the Peconic River, is also participating. While the update restaurant week menu was not yet posted, in the past we have recommended the tuna prepared shashimi style, hanger steak and housemade bread pudding.

Watershed Kitchen and Bar, South Jamesport $35

It’s a great time to try this newer restaurant if you haven’t already, then walk it off with a brief stroll to South Jamesport Beach. Start with the Dominican style mussels, followed by the bone-in pork chop and funnel fries for dessert.

On the Docks, Aquebogue ($35)

Formerly Phil’s Waterfront, On the Docks is a great spot for dining on a creek. We recommend the clams casino, French onion chicken breast and chocolate chip lava cake for dessert.

The Preston House and Hotel, Riverhead ($35)

A high quality Riverhead restaurant offering up three courses for $42, The Preston House is one of those Restaurant Week spots where you can really maximize your value — eating an upscale meal at a discount price in a beautiful setting. Start off with birria ramen, mini veal meatballs and s’mores for dessert. You can also add wine pairings for $20 per person.

Bistro 72, Riverhead ($20/$35)

Bistro 72 at Hotel Indigo in Riverhead is the only local spot offering up the $20 lunch option. It makes great day-time pairing with a little shopping at Tanger Outlet Center next door. For lunch we’d go with the deviled egg and a cheeseburger.
