We are looking for a creative, upbeat, passionate reporter to join the team at Northforker and create content for our website and magazine.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in journalism or English Literature, strong writing skills, a willingness to learn, a tireless work ethic and an interest in food, wine, real estate and the events that bring people to the North Fork. Photography skills and a desire to shoot video content are also musts.
Job responsibilities include pitching daily stories about the North Fork region’s food, wine and real estate scenes, covering weekend events, researching and writing posts for northforker.com, appearing on our podcasts, taking photographs and shooting video to accompany those stories and cultivating sources within the communities we serve.
Candidates with some experience covering lifestyle topics are preferred, though we will consider the right first-time hire and others with the proper background for the job.
