Thousands flocked to downtown Riverhead Wednesday night for the first Alive on 25 celebration of the season.

The twice-monthly annual summer street fair featured food trucks, restaurant and drink specials, family activities, live music and more.

The Main Street event, which is hosted by Riverhead’s Business Improvement District, also featured fireworks as a kickoff to the Independence Day celebration.

Alive on 25, which was inspired by Patchogue’s Alive After 5, occurs on weeks when its predecessor takes off. The final three dates are set for July 18, August 1 and August 15 from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
