The Mattituck Lions Club is hosting its 62nd annual Strawberry Festival this Father’s Day weekend and selected its queen Saturday.
Shortly after 16-year-old Joy Davis of Mattituck was crowned queen, she said she’s looking forward to representing her hometown.
“This community has given me so much, so I am looking forward to finally being able to give back,” she said.
On top of traditional festival food, club volunteers are serving strawberry shortcakes, strawberry daiquiris, chocolate covered strawberries and more. Family activities, entertainment and musical performances are also planned, as well as fireworks.
The festival continues Sunday.
