Ice carver comes to Sherwood House
Master ice carver Rich Daly will bring his chainsaw skills back to Sherwood House Vineyards in Jamesport for another frozen spectacle this Saturday.
The presentation begins at noon. There is no entrance fee, but wine, soup and sandwiches will be available for sale. Sherwood House Vineyards is located at 1291 Main Road in Jamesport. For more information call (631) 779-2817. 1291 Main Road, Jamesport.

Picklefest at Little Creek
Picklefest returns to the Little Creek Oyster Farm and Market this weekend.
Tickets, which can be purchased at TasteGreenport.com, are $25 each and include a flight of craft beers carefully paired with a selection of Backyard Brine pickles, and other treats.
Tickets will also be available at the door.
The event runs from 12 to 4 p.m., Dec. 19 at the Little Creek Market located at 37 Front Street in Greenport (turn down Bootleg Alley).

Eat, Drink and Be Sparkling
Looking for a festive food and wine pairing? Sparkling Pointe in Southold is hosting the last event in its “Eat, Drink and Be Sparkling” series this weekend. Tickets are $35 per person and include a glass of 2011 Blanc de Blanc and Harvest Moon Shellfish Co. Peconic Bay scallops and oysters.

Cooking with Mushrooms
Enjoy a complimentary mushroom cooking demonstration and tasting at East End Mushroom Co. Sample some shiitake, oyster and maitake varieties.
The fungi demo and tasting runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East End Mushroom Co. 22355 Route 48, Cutchogue (right off of Cox Lane).
Living Nativity in Southold
Children and live animals will perform a living nativity display at St. Patrick R.C. Church lawn, 52125 Main Road, Southold on Saturday. The event, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., is presented by church youth.
