The summer edition of the northforker Long Island Wine Press will be delivered to a winery near you this weekend.
The latest issue features a look at the 2014 crop of rosés, like Wölffer Estate Vineyards yummy Summer in a Bottle and Palmer Vineyards’ merlot rosé, with an overhead photo shot by Emmy-winning Southold-based photographer Randee Daddona.
It also includes a feature on the region’s first Latino vineyard worker collective, an article on the all new Saltbird Cellars wine and a photo spread on the region’s winery dogs.
Other features in the summer edition include a profile by Louisa Hargrave on winemaker Gilles Martin of Sparkling Pointe, Sherwood House and McCall Vineyards (among others); a Q&A with Sarah Nappa of The Winemaker’s Studio; a roundup what’s going on at our local wineries; and a profile of chef Matt Kar of the Jamesport Manor Inn.
Also included in the Wine Press is a guide to five local wines industry pros think you should sip this summer and our Wine Country map.
Pick up a copy today at wineries, restaurants, newsstands and other businesses around the region. And follow northforker this week as we post many of these stories to our site.
