It will be a gala for gourmands, a fete for foodies and a bash for beer lovers in Riverhead next month.
Hotel Indigo East End is hosting an evening of local craft beer tastings, pickle and chocolate samplings, all the chili and corn chowder your belly can take and more for the first East End Craft Beer Festival.
That just sounds awful, doesn’t it?
The event kicks off April 17 at 7 p.m. when eight East End craft breweries, The Lenz Winery, Long Island Spirits and artisanal food producers like Backyard Brine pickle company and North Fork Chocolate Co. come together for a night of tastings and live music.
The hotel will also serve corn chowder, chili and passed hors d’oeuvres made in-house at Bistro 72.
“It’s becoming more of an East End experience,” said Hotel Indigo general manager Kristen Reyes. “There’s so many vendors.”
A $50 ticket nets guests entry to the two-hour tasting event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Patrons will receive a souvenir tasting cup for beer, wine and spirit samples.
Or, for $75, guests receive access to four hours of open bar at Bistro 72, plus the tasting event.
“A lot of these vendors said they are going to keep the party going,” Reyes said.
Miles to Dayton will provide live music during the event.
Contact Hotel Indigo East End at (631) 369-2200 for tickets.
If you plan on really taking advantage of the free tastings (if you catch our drift), the hotel is also offering overnight specials as well. And bloody marys at the restaurant the following morning.
