The North Fork Environmental Council held its annual chili night at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead Friday night.
The panel of judges included Riverhead councilwoman Jodi Giglio, Calverton Civic Association president Rex Farr, Southold town trustee Dave Bergen, Democratic candidate Abigail Field, and former NFEC board member Kevin Cahill.
First place was awarded to Ammirati’s, second place to Jamesport Manor Inn, and best specialty chili to Lobster Roll Northside. Ammirati’s won people’s choice and best overall chili.
Senator Ken LaValle was on hand to present L.I. Farm Bureau executive director Joe Gergela with the 2014 Paul Stoutenburgh Leadership Award.
