Sunday Scene: Hunting for fish in the marsh

In this week’s scene, a snowy egret hunts for fish in the Downs Creek marsh.

The photo was shot by Times/Review staff photographer Barbaraellen Koch off New Suffolk Avenue in Cutchogue. The North American heron typically stands about two feet tall, weighs about 13 ounces and has a three foot wing span.
