Polls close at 5 p.m. today in the semifinal round of Game of Hamlets.
That means that later today, the contest to determine the best hamlet on the North Fork will be down to just two.
Northforker.com has been hosting the 16-hamlet bracket tournament, sponsored by Corcoran Group, since March 13. A winning hamlet will be crowned April 8.
Northforker will host an open photo shoot, inviting anyone who lives or works in the winning hamlet, for a photo to appear in that week’s issue of The Suffolk Times or Riverhead News Review, likely on the cover. The photo shoot is expected to take place the weekend of April 12-13 in a public location in that community. We’re looking for as many people to show up as possible for the photo. Full details will be announced after the winner is chosen.
The four remaining hamlets in the contest are Riverhead, Orient, Greenport and Mattituck.
