Sherwood House Vineyards, with locations in Jamesport and Mattituck, has long been known for its chardonnay.
The winery’s 2008 Chardonnay, produced by winemaker Gilles Martin, was awarded “Best in Class” and 91 points at the 2011 Los Angeles International Wine Competition.
This week, Sherwood House, announced another honor when its 2010 Chardonnay was named “Best Local Wine” by Cork ‘N Jug Wines & Liquors. The award is part of the Hampton Bays’ liquor store’s 2013 Corky Awards, a roundup of the best wines and liquors from around the globe.
