Laurence Maslon, who has a home in Southold, will lead a discussion about comic book heroes at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Peconic Landing auditorium in Greenport.
Mr. Maslon is co-author, with Michael Kantor, of ‘Superheroes! Capes, Cowls, and the Creation of Comic Book Culture,’ the companion book to their PBS documentary, “Superheroes: A Never-Ending Battle,” which was shown in October.
The illustrated volume covers heroes found in print, television, film and video games.
Mr. Maslon will show clips from the film and sign copies of the book.
