Looking to go on vacation but don’t want to leave your furry friend behind? Well, you’re in luck! We’ve compiled a North Fork pet friendly lodging list where you can explore what options are best for you and your best friend.
Dogs stay free of charge at the Blue Inn and all sizes and breeds are welcome. Owners must keep their dogs on leashes outside. There is also a dog run behind the building.
The Country Inn allows pets to stay but the accommodations must be made in advance. The cost is $20 per night and animals must be kept in cages when the guests are not present. Pets owners would also be held liable for any damages.
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites
1707 Old Country Rd., Calverton
Dogs are permitted and there is a limit of one pet per room. There is a $50 non-refundable fee that is required at check in. Dogs must also be crated when owners are not in room or housekeeping staff will not enter.
1830 West Main Street Route 25, Riverhead
Only dogs are allowed to stay at the hotel. There is a $50 fee required upon check-in and the dog must weight less than 50 pounds. The owner is required to sign a waiver upon check-in agreeing to the additional charge as well as any charges for possible damages.
The Hyatt Place Long Island East End
The Hyatt will accept dogs at a cost of a $75 non-refundable fee. Guests staying seven days or longer will also be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee. A two dog maximum is enforced and the weight of both two dogs should not exceed 75 pounds, dogs exceeding this weight are accepted at the hotels discretion. All dogs must also be housebroken.
11 Stearns Point Rd., Shelter Island Heights
La Maison Blanche is a dog friendly hotel. They have a one-time pet fee of $150 per pet and dogs should not exceed 20 pounds.
The Orient Inn has one room that is selected as a “Pet Friendly Room.” The pet must be fully trained, must be kept on a leash when appropriate, pick up after the pet and make sure that noises such as a barking are minimal so as to not inconvenience guests. The guests are also responsible for any damage the pet may cause. There is a onetime $50 fee regardless of duration of stay.
No matter how big or how small your pets are, they’re welcome to vacation with their families at Reeve’s Summer Cottages. You must get prior approval from the owners before you bring your pet. They boast right on their home page that they’re “Paw n’ Claw Friendly.”
