Roanoke Vineyards and local eateries on Love Lane in Mattituck will partner up to provide a unique wine tasting and dining experience for those looking to pamper their palates this Friday evening (June 14).
Each stop will feature one food course paired with a selection from Roanoke Vineyards signature wines. Strollers will meet at Roanoke Vineyards Love Lane Tasting Room before heading out to stops along Love Lane.
First stop: The Village Cheese Shop will supply the openers of piave vecchio and prosciutto served alongside the Roanoke’s newest release, the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc. The pate de campagne and l’edel de cleron will be served with Roanoke’s 2010 Marco Tulio.
After that you will cross the street and go to The Love Lane Kitchen, who will provide summer rolls of cabbage, red pepper, carrots, sugar snap peas, edamame, radish, with a ginger and soy dipping sauce. Along with this course Roanoke’s 2011 The Wild! Chardonnay will be sampled.
The party then heads to A Mano Osteria and Wine Bar for the main entrée: steak fiorentina with olive oil crushed potatoes, arugula and lemon. Roanoke’s 2010 Cabernet Franc will be served with this portion of the meal.
For dessert, The Iron Skillet will serve Grandma’s strawberry shortcake accompanied by Roanoke’s 2011 Wölffer Estate Diosa.
There will also be arrangements courtesy of the Mattituck Florist.
The stroll will take place on Friday, June 14, starting at 6 p.m. in the Roanoke Vineyards Love Lane Tasting Room located at 165 Love Lane in Mattituck. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 631-298-7677. The event costs $85 per person.
This will be the last stroll down Love Lane the vineyard will be hosting until the grapes are in.
