Head down to Strong’s Marine in Mattituck this Saturday, Sept. 3 for the final concert in the “Sounds of Summer Music Series.”

The country and classic rock band Southbound will perform during the event, which runs from 4 to 8 p.m.

There was so much music going on last week it was hard to choose where to go! I did get to see and hear the amazing Intersection Trio, presented by the Shelter Island Friends of Music at the Presbyterian Church. True to its name, the trio of Laura Frautschi (violin), Kristina Reiko Cooper (cello) and John Novacek (piano), played everything from classical to ragtime to Broadway, all with incredible technical prowess that had the audience literally gasping at times.
