The first winner of the #nofostateofmind instagram photo contest from northforker.com and WEHM Radio is Instagramer @chrispgirl.

The winning photo of a sunset at Greenport’s Sound View Inn, which included the song ‘Everyday’ by Dave Matthews Band in the caption, was announced Friday.

The summer contest’s week 1 prize includes two tickets for the Long Island Aquarium Moonlight Cruise featuring music, wine and cheese during a trip down the Peconic River aboard the Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat.

The Friday night tours are scheduled for Aug. 19 and Sept. 16 between 8:30 and 10 p.m. Tickets cost $35 per person and reservations are required. For more information, call 631-208-9200, ext. 426 or http://www.longislandaquarium.com/moonlight-cruise/.

@chrispgirl’s Instagram post is now entered to win the grand prize of a two-night stay and dinner at American Beech in Greenport along with a VIP tour and tasting at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue.

In order to be selected, a caption must include both the hashtag #nofostateofmind and the name of a song. In addition, the image must be current. Contest entries can’t be of photos reposted or retagged on Instagram. (See below for more information)

What song serves as the soundtrack to your summer on the North Fork?

That’s the sentiment behind the #nofostateofmind photo contest from northforker.com and WEHM Radio.

To enter the contest, share a photo on Instagram depicting what you love about summer on the North Fork. Caption it with your favorite summer song and the hashtag #nofostateofmind.

It’s that simple.

Beginning Friday, July 22, we’ll hand out weekly prizes for 10 weeks to Instagram followers with our favorite photos. A grand prize winner will be revealed Oct. 3.

“We are very excited to partner with WEHM because we feel our brands compliment each other so well,” said Times Review Media Group marketing director Sonja Reinholt Derr.

The contest will be promoted by both media outlets at Alive on 25 in Riverhead, and in Greenport at pre-Dances in the Park events and the Maritime Festival.

“Northforker’s magazine and website represent the best of the North Fork, and WEHM Radio is thrilled to jointly promote NOFO State of Mind,” said Stephanie Bitis, vice president and general manager of Long Island Radio Broadcasting. “Giving people the opportunity to creatively bring the best sites and sounds of the North Fork alive on social media is fun for everyone, and one lucky winner will receive a memorable getaway weekend there this fall.”

Each weekly prize includes tickets to a local event or attraction, and the winner also becomes eligible for the grand prize of a two-night stay and dinner at American Beech in Greenport along with a VIP tour and tasting at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue.

On Sept. 23, we’ll post a gallery with the 10 weekly winners on both the northforker and WEHM Facebook pages. The photo with the most shares by 5 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 2 will claim the grand prize.

We’ll announce the winner the following morning.
