As much as we love our region’s wineries, we lament the fact many put the tasting bottles away long before the sun goes down, even on the weekends.

If you find the hour getting late, but still want to sip, here are eight North Fork tasting rooms that stay open until 8 p.m. or later at least one day a week.

Diliberto Winery
250 Manor Lane, Jamesport (631) 722-3416

Diliberto Winery is open late Friday and Saturday nights. They winer offers live music, wine, and pizza from 6 to 9 p.m.

Two glasses of wine and pizza are available for $25.

Lieb Cellars
35 Cox Neck Road, Mattituck (631) 298-1942

Lieb’s Mattituck locations stays open until 8 p.m. for Firefly Fridays in the summer.

This week features food by the North Fork Food Truck and live music by Bryce Larsen.

Roanoke Vineyards
3523 Sound Ave., Riverhead (631) 727-4161

Roanoke stays open until 8 p.m. on Friday and until 9 p.m. on Saturday. The tasting room located at 165 Love Lane in Mattituck is open until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Shinn Estate Vineyards
2000 Oregon Road, Mattituck (631) 804-0367

Shinn stops pouring tastes at 5:30 p.m., but wine is available by the glass and bottle until 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Osprey’s Dominion

Osprey’s Dominon hosts its “Twilight on the Vines series” every Friday night, with live music until 8 p.m.

Corey Creek Vineyards
45470 Main Road, Southold (631) 765-4168

Each Monday (Moonlight Monday), Tuesday (Twilight Tuesday) and Thursday (Twilight Thursday) through Sept. 4, Corey Creek will host the event with live music, local food vendors, lawn games and regular wine tastings.

The event runs from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and admission is $5 for those over 12.

Families are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.

Palmer Vineyards
5120 Sound Ave., Riverhead (631) 722-5364

Palmer stays open until 9 p.m. with live music, backyard games, food plates by Noah’s in Greenport, wines by the taste and glass and a fire pit in the colder months.

The Friday night parties, which start at 4 p.m., will continue through the fall at Palmer Vineyards

Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard
2114 Sound Ave., (631) 369-0100

Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard stays open until 9 p.m. on Thursday nights and offers $5 beer, glasses of wine and appetizers. Ladies get a free wine-a-rita between 7 and 9 p.m.
