About

Long Island’s East End farms operate within a unique micro-climate that balances soil and water.

Join the Peconic Land Trust at Salt Air Farm in Cutchogue to walk the longest dike system on our beautiful East End, created in the 1940’s. Along the way, learn from farmers Dan and Prudence Heston how this unique system works, why it is important to their farm, and the challenges (and joys) of farming in a seaside environment.

Dress appropriately for a 2.5-mile hike.

$5/person, space is limited, reservations required. Rain cancels.
